Lichensaurs
This artwork began with my love for birch trees, which I often find myself drawing without even thinking about it. I imagined a stegosaurus moving through a misty birch forest but wanted something more vibrant, so I added bright orange mushrooms growing up the trees to bring the scene to life. The protective spikes on the stegosaurus’s back echo the texture of the lichen on the trees, blending it naturally into the environment. To finish the idea, I included a character in a fox costume and a few fox friends gathering to greet this mushroom-covered stegosaurus.
